At Excel Urgent Care we provide IV hydration therapy. It is always good to know the signs of dehydration and when to take appropriate action. Our fluids will get you feeling better and fully rehydrated. Patients such as children, seniors, and those with chronic illnesses can be at a higher risk for developing dehydration.
IV hydration therapy is utilized for many illnesses and conditions such as:
Hangovers
Food poisoning
Illnesses that have caused dehydration
Overexertion without enough water
Heat exertion
Excessive vomiting and/or diarrhea
Jet lag
Flu and viruses
Extreme athletics
Children who are ill and need to be rehydrated
Know the signs of severe dehydration and be sure to get to an emergency department quickly for treatment!
Low blood pressure
Rapid heartbeat
Rapid breathing
Fever
Extreme thirst
Extreme fussiness or sleepiness in infants and children; irritability and confusion in adults
Very dry mouth, skin and mucous membranes
Little or no urination — any urine that is produced will be darker than normal
Sunken eyes
