At Excel Urgent Care we provide IV hydration therapy. It is always good to know the signs of dehydration and when to take appropriate action. Our fluids will get you feeling better and fully rehydrated. Patients such as children, seniors, and those with chronic illnesses can be at a higher risk for developing dehydration.
IV hydration therapy is utilized for many illnesses and conditions such as:
Illnesses that have caused dehydration
Overexertion without enough water
Excessive vomiting and/or diarrhea
Flu and viruses
Children who are ill and need to be rehydrated
Know the signs of severe dehydration and be sure to get to an emergency department quickly for treatment!
Low blood pressure
Extreme fussiness or sleepiness in infants and children; irritability and confusion in adults
Very dry mouth, skin and mucous membranes
Little or no urination — any urine that is produced will be darker than normal
* Please note that if you are experiencing severe dehydration, do not wait. Visit your local Emergency Department right away.
